Electric Drives of Vehicles Power Chain
The approach proposed in this paper is to develop a methodology for controlling an optimized power chain structure of electric vehicles. This method is suitable for permanent magnet axial flux synchronous motors and for IGBT converters. Two IGBT converter structures are selected, a structure with six IGBTs and the other with three IGBTs. The choice of these two structures is to reduce the cost of the power chain by reducing the number of IGBT and simplified the electronics control system. Reducing the number of IGBTs also leads to increased autonomy since the energy lost by conduction and switching will be reduced by a factor of 2. These two structures require a comparative design and control study to validate the choice for a joint reduction of cost and energy consumed. The overall design of the power chain is implemented in the simulation environment Matlab
