Thus, there has been an increased attention from destination marketing and event/ festival organizers to the development of local events and festivals. Previous studies have supported that festivals provide a specific time and place for their organizers to show their commitment to being good citizensand neighbors. Additionally, festivals and events also generate intangible and tangible assets for a destination and have been used as an instrument for local tourism business development.
