Hyperviscosity Syndrome Presenting as Exercise Induced Pulmonary Hypertension in a Heart Transplant Patient
We report an unusual case of exertional dyspnea and exercise induced pulmonary hypertension associated with hyperviscosity syndrome in a heart transplant patient. In this case report we will review the causes of exertional dyspnea following heart transplantation and discuss novel insight on exercise induced pulmonary hypertension. The clinical presentation and pathophysiology of hyperviscosity syndrome will also be discussed.
