About Eating Disorders
Eating Disorder is one of the psychological disorders which are caused by serious disturbances of eating behavior. It can have life-threatening consequences for humans. It includes Anorexia nervosa, Bulimia nervosa, Binge eating. It involve either insufficient or excessive food intake to the detriment of an individual physical and mental health. Eating disorders can harm the heart, digestive system, bones, and teeth and mouth, and lead to other diseases. Eating Disorders are conditions related to continuous eating behaviors that negatively impact our health and our ability to work in important areas of life. These are one type of mental illness that causes major problems in a person everyday diet. Mostly eating disorders effects too much on our weight, body shape and food, leading to dangerous eating behaviors. Eating disorders mainly develop in the teen and young adult years, although they can develop at other ages. Eating disorder can also raise the risk of death. Symptoms of eating disorders include the person will deny their behavior, they may go to great lengths to hide, may have disturbed eating behavior and extreme concern about weight, shape and body image. Eating disorders can be treated effectively if they can be detected in their early stages. Treatment for eating disorder includes diet education and advice, psychological interventions and treatment of concurrent mental ailments like depression and anxiety disorders.
