About Athletic Physiology

Athletic Physiology is a branch of the biological sciences and is concerned with the way in which the body responds to exercise and training. Exercise physiology is evolved from homeostatic (resting) conditions in the body. It is the acute responses and chronic adaptations that occur in the way the body functions during exercise. Sport physiology is an extension of these observations that are used to improve sports performance; a more specialized area of exercise physiology.
