Abstract
Patient Opinions about Medical Student Participation in Labor and Delivery
Objective: To compare opinions about medical student involvement in labor and delivery between patients seeking prenatal care in private practices and those seen in resident clinics. Methods: Pregnant, English-speaking women being seen at faculty practices and resident clinics were asked to complete an anonymous, confidential survey dealing with attitudes toward student involvement during labor and delivery. Responses from private patients were compared statistically with those of resident clinic patients.
